fancy dress time

Holiday season is arriving. chicas. And you know what that means: party outfits. What fun, what fun.

You can take cues from some savvy celebrities and look fabulous. You do not have to spend your entire savings account to look good. This first installment will cover looks you can take cues from. Another day, I will get to where to get it, reasonably.

Rules: Make sure your dress, pants, jacket, and/or top fits or it will not be flattering. If you are going for baggy, that can be done well. But too tight, and you look like an imbecile in denial about your size. Do not overdo it with jewellery unless you are going full out Bohemian or you will look like Hulk Hogan's tacky wife. Be comfortable. Be able to dance as well. Make sure you have a proper fancy dress coat that will look good over it, and if not, get thee a pashmina type shawl in black.

These celebrities get my stamp of approval (note the absence of Paris, the Olsens, and other dimwits):

the little black dress:

simple, classic, and sexy.

 

 

 

 

bohemian:

artsy, strong, funky.

 

 

 

 

 

metallic:

glamourous, shining.

 

 

 

 

satiny silky shiny:

vintage glamour.

 

 

 

 

 

pants:

attitude, strong.

 

 

 

 

if you got it, flaunt it:

with attitude, baby. I'm not talking pam anderson here. I'm saying if you got style and some meat on your bones.
